WHO WE ARE When you are hungry, we can help. Caring for people who need help or are in crisis is at the heart of what it means to be a Christian, and is central to this congregation's Local Outreach Missions. Whether it is a hot and nutritious meal; food, personal hygiene and basic domestic essentials from our monthly emergency food pantry; gently used clothing for you and your loved ones; day-old bread to take home with you; prayer support; or simply a compassionate ear to listen--we can help. All you have to do is let us know!
"Jesus said to Peter, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' Peter said to him, 'Yes, Lord; you know I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep.'" John 21:15
"'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?' And the king will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.'" Matthew 25:37-40
FREE LUNCH MINISTRY One of the Local Outreach Missions offered by Firestone Park United Methodist Church is our Free Lunch Ministry. The Free Lunch Ministry is open to all people and offers a hot, nutritious meal each Wednesday in the church's Fellowship Hall, which is handicap accessible. Hot meals are served from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., except on the first and fourth Wednesday, when the hot meal is served from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Menus vary weekly and choices are limited, including some vegetarian options. There is no charge for the hot meal, but free-will donations are gratefully accepted. If you are feeling nudged by the Spirit and want to help in the kitchen or dining room, or donate food, household or personal care items, your support and generosity would also be welcomed.
If you have any questions or if you want to know more, please contact the church at 330-773-7636.

EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY On the fourth Wednesday of each month, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Firestone Park United Methodist Church provides an Emergency Food Pantry for those in need. The Emergency Food Pantry provides supplemental food, basic domestic essentials and personal hygiene items designed to help those in need make it through the end of the month, when other support may have already run out. Selection is based upon donations, and may vary from month-to-month. Quantities are limited, and other rules may apply.
